Ok.. I'm In

So such is life.. after a brief but stimulating conversation at Scott Kirsner's Future Forward conference yesterday with my well connected friend David Weinberger, I've decided to enter the fray.  I mentioned to David that I had posted a one sentence blog entry.. "Not sure why am I doing this".. he today 'blogged' it so now I'm stuck.  Thanks David, cause now I've got to really clarify my thoughts. I previously had to do this only in advance of a speech or panel moderation, but now there's a new master to serve.

This is not an easy decision.. several of my best professional acquaintances seemingly have 'been there, done that'. Ray Ozzie and Mitch Kapur, old Lotus buds, have seemingly stopped posting months ago to their blogs. I wonder why?  Given that, I worry that I won't be able to keep up with the beast.  But, I was editor of my high school and college newspapers, so I know what deadlines mean.. and that conveniently translates well to software development, my chosen career, so let's get this release out!

Suffice it to say that I'm blown away by this medium.  I have found more interesting facts and opinions about those things near and dear to my brain and heart than I ever could using any other means.  The amount of information available in the blogosphere boggles the mind opening new opportunities for both social and economic benefit.  I look forward to contributing.. but tomorrow!
